Welcome to my blog site! My goal here is to convey real progress being made towards our low carbon future to those who may not be on the front lines, but who are passionate about making an impact as community members, consumers or just as educated individuals.
I have been fortunate to see many of the initiatives and technologies shared here first hand through over 25 years at the Electric Power Research Institute focused on the environmental aspects of the energy system, as the North American lead for the World Economic Forum's "Transitioning Industrial Clusters" initiative and now as an independent consultant and writer.
Achieving carbon neutrality is a daunting but achievable task. It will require us to go all in on a diverse set of low carbon enabling technologies and infrastructure to assure that progress is affordable, reliable and equitable.
